The New Africa Leadership (NAL) Symposiums 2007 will be held with women entrepreneurs, executives and leaders in Africa. The strategic goal of the NAL Symposiums is to accelerate organizational capacity building in leadership and organization and team culture development in Africa, coupled with sharing leading-edge tools and best practices in leadership coaching for transformational change. Accordingly, the NAL Symposiums will engage leaders and senior executives in organizational capacity building for human excellence through linking individual development to the improvement of organizational and team performance.
NAL’s focus on women in leadership reflects our commitment to women’s learning and sustained development, wellbeing and wellness. In Africa, we acknowledge women for their contributions in economic development and as the majority in population, workforce and historically marginalized in having access to readiness skills in leadership development. We have seen the exponential factor of women’s wellbeing and wellness and believe that this is an unparallel priority for families, communities, organizations, nations and the world to heal, develop in human excellence and thrive in our co-existence.
The NAL Symposiums in 2007 will also host the launch of the Annual HE Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf Women in Leadership Awards Dinners. African women will be recognized for excellence in leadership in the following categories: Education, the Media, Healthcare, the Informal Sector, Entrepreneurship, Political Leadership, Community Leadership, Female Youth Leadership. NAL will also hold an Open Category to acknowledge excellence in leadership in an area not covered by the award categories.
